Communication Guidelines & Teacher Office Hours

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we move forward into the school year, we want to ensure that our communication between home and school remains both effective and respectful of everyone’s time. Our teachers are deeply committed to your child’s success and often spend their personal hours planning lessons and grading assignments to provide timely feedback.

To maintain a healthy work-life balance for our staff and ensure they can focus fully on instruction during the day, we ask that you please adhere to the following communication guidelines:

Standard Contact Hours

Teachers are available for direct communication and inquiries during the following times:

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Outside these hours: By pre-scheduled appointment only.

Expectations Regarding Grading

We understand the desire to see updated grades immediately. However, please refrain from texting or contacting teachers during evenings or weekends to request that specific assignments be graded.

While teachers often choose to grade after hours to stay caught up, these hours are their private time. They will update grade books as quickly as possible within the flow of their professional schedule.

How to Reach Us

• Email: This remains the best way to send non-urgent queries. Teachers will respond during their next available office hours.
• Scheduled Meetings: If you have a concern that requires an in-depth discussion, please reach out to schedule a formal meeting or call.
