Having raised her own children in both public school and home school, Mrs. Nalls understands why parents choose CCS. She is a published author, professional editor, political activist, has worked in many various business environments, and spent time as a stay-at-home wife and mom.
 
As Assistant Principal, Mrs. Nalls serves as the Parent Liaison and Education Coordinator of Crossroads Christian School.
 
Under the direction of our Director and Principal, Mrs Nalls serves as an educational leader in the planning, coordination, and directing of activities and programs related to the administration of CCS.
 
Mrs. Nalls assists in the planning, development, organization, coordination, and supervision of instructional programs and activities. She interprets and implements the curriculum program while considering individual school needs. Additionally, she assists in providing leadership to the professional staff in determining objectives and identifying school needs as the basis for developing long and short range plans for the school.
 
Her role as Education Coordinator is a dual role. In the classroom Mrs. Nalls is the high school English instructor and serves as liaison between teachers, parents, students, and administrators. On the Administrative side, she coordinates student enrollment and placement, creating and managing courses and academic records, and supports all areas of the instructional program.
 
Mrs. Nalls assists the principal in the overall administration of the school and assumes leadership of the school in the absence of the principal.
 
Assists in the supervision of student enrollment, records, and attendance.
 
Maintains a commitment to ongoing growth in self and others, supporting and participating in professional growth programs.
 
Relates to students with mutual respect while carrying out a positive and effective discipline policy.
 
Supervises the reporting and monitoring of students, with follow-up student/parent contact where necessary.
 
Has knowledge of local policies, state and federal laws relating to minors.
 
Overall, Mrs. Nalls implements successful programs for our students by helping parents get the information and support they need to ensure their child's academic and social success. She coordinates with administrators, families, teachers, and students to bridge the gap between home and school and supports our parent-school partnership.

The Arbor program develops and implements individualized educational programs that ensure each student reaches his or her highest level of achievement and independence to help them to become contributing members of their communities.
 
Functional and life skills education are provided and an extensive career education and school-to-work transition program prepares students for adult life. Social Skills or “soft skills” are emphasized to maximize each student’s ability to participate in various social settings in the greater community.

In 2012, Stephanie choreographed the Victoria East High School Fine Arts Department musical, The Wizard of Oz.  She was inducted into the VEHS International Thespian Society as an Honorary Member for her choreography in the musical. She also choreographed the VISD musical Little Shop of Horrors in 2013 and Willy Wonka in 2014. Stephanie is currently an instructor and choreographer with the Victoria East High School Golden Saber Dance Team. She has choreographed numerous competition dances for the dance team. Stephanie has received perfect scores for her choreography. In 2013 at the Austin Celebration Talent Competition, Stephanie's choreography for the junior company ballet dance won best choreography out of the entire competition. Stephanie choreographed field routines for the Nixon-Smiley HS Dance Team in 2014.
 
Stephanie brings the same passion she has for her individual students to Crossroads!  At her dance studio, she strives to make dance fun for her dancers while teaching them proper technique, discipline, performance, and the latest dance moves.  She encourages her staff to see the potential in every student and help them reach that potential in dance and in life. Her curriculum is personally created to maximize development.  Together, our program teaches fitness to the individual. Our method will develop them in physical skills, emotional maturity, wellness and happiness.

Right?!.."Trill-la-check")  I am elated that God has provided the way for me to teach at this amazing school.  I am newly retired and ready to jump into teaching and learning with your children.  I have thirty-two years experience in public education: 19 years at 3rd, 4th grade, 1 year in resource grades 2-5, and fourteen years in middle school with Social Studies/History and Avid and Teen Leadership.  Teaching in my passion and my ministry, not my job. My Bachelor of Science degree is from the University of Houston with a specialization in English.  I am passionate about learning new things and having fun.  My last five years have given me opportunities to prepare kids for college while teaching the AVID curriculum and in counseling and instilling leadership skills in students.
     I am a wife of 28 years , mother, daughter, sister and Christ follower.  My husband and I serve in our church of Parkway Baptist.  We have 3 beautiful children: Leah-25, Garrett-21, Devin-13 and our new son-in-law Dustin.  I love cats, traveling, antiquing, finding ways to have fun and  building relationships with people.  I am an advocate for children and love to see them successful.
